Kiehl's Holiday Head to Toe Bloggers Gathering & Upcoming Products in 2013

Last Friday, Kiehl's Indonesia kindly invite me to join Kiehl's Holidays Head to Toe Bloggers Gathering in Kiehl's Store at Seibu Grand Indonesia. I was so excited because I will meet other fellow bloggers!

So, I was greeted by Kiehl's Product Manager; Ms. Sally and other Kiehl's representative; Asia. So, this is how do I looked like that day. I just use my Holika Holika Petit Watery BB Cream, eyeliner, and did my eyebrows. That day, I still experience medium exfoliation on my jawline due to the Face Peeling I've done.

Oh yeah, I have to remind you that this post gonna be a LONG post. LOL.

I am actually quite familiar with Kiehl's because I've been using few of its product before. And yes, I can say that Kiehl's is a really good skin care brand.

So, Sally began the gathering with brief explanation about Kiehl's and its history.

Kiehl's is an American cosmetics brand retailer that specializes in producing premium skin, hair, and body care products. Founded as a single pharmacy in New York City's East Village in 1851, Kiehl’s was purchased by the L'Oréal Group in 2000 and currently has more than 30 retail stores worldwide, supplemented by sales in high-end department stores.

In contrast to its market competitors, Kiehl’s is distinguished for its unorthodox marketing approach, exceptionally large male clientele base and its products' simple and straightforward packaging.

For your information, Kiehl's claims to use only natural ingredients and safe chemicals. Parabens, alcohols and the likes are still present, but Kiehl's promise that the amount of those ingredients are safe because it is FDA and BPOM (Indonesia local food and drug administration) approved! Good news for you who support NO ANIMAL CRUELTY, Kiehl's doesn't test its products on animals. :D

Let's move on to another exciting things about Kiehl's, so Kiehl's will introduce us a few new products which will be available next year; 2013! Let's take a look on them.

1. KIEHL'S CLEARLY CORRECTIVE WHITE DEEP MOISTURE CLARIFYING CREAM

This is an upgrade of Kiehl's previous cream/emulsion since it receives customers' feedback on how the previous one is less hydrating.

First Impression

The cream is not thick, and for me, it feels really light
I love how it doesn't left me with any sticky feeling, only soft and smooth skin left

2. KIEHL'S POWERFUL WRINKLE REDUCING CREAM & EYE CREAM

First Impression

The cream feels so good on my skin! The texture is gel-like so it's really hydrating and not sticky at all! Moreover, the scent is just amazing for my smelling too! On the other side, the eye cream's scent is... Weird. I don't know but it smells like those cleaning chemical (what am I talking about....).

3. KIEHL'S ACTIVELY CORRECTING & BEAUTIFYING BB CREAM

Wow, I didn't expect that Kiehl's will fall into the BB Cream rave too! I think more and more western (US and European brands) are launching their own BB Cream product now *happy*

First Impression

This BB Cream has 3 shades available; Fair, Light, and Natural. I think that the availability of shade choices is one of this BB Cream's strength since most BB Creams are only available in single shade.

As you can see on the above swatches, Fair is too light for me, Light gives brighter appearance, and Natural is the closest shade to my bare skin. So, if I want my face to appear brighter, it's Light, but if I want natural look, then it goes to Natural (I love brighter one, so my choice goes to Light).

The texture of this BB Cream is not really thick and it's relatively easy to be blended on my skin.

the crowd that day

After the brief introduction about Kiehl's and sneak peek to its upcoming products, we, bloggers, were welcomed to do skin check, using a tool called Skin Barrier (CMIIW).

The KCR is putting skin barrier on Nita's face ^_^

So the sheet will be placed on two areas on your face: the forehead (T-Zone) and the cheek (U-Zone). Based on the result, The KCR (Kiehl's Customer Representatives) will match it with the characteristics available then prepare a skin routine for you. Here is my skin routine prepared and analyzed by the KCR.

Phewww... What a long post and yes I still have something for you! Kiehl's is also introducing its new ; Aromatic Blends. It comes in 4 different scents: Fig Leaf & Sage, Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit, Orange Flower & Lychee and Vanilla & Cedarwood. Personally, I love Orange Flower & Lychee the most, the combination of both fruits are really refreshing!

And after the long hours of wandering around Kiehl's store, asking so many questions and (of course) trying almost all the products (I also try the MEN's line, LOL), it's time to say goodbye and we took a group photo together with Kiehl's team and beauty bloggers! \(^o^)/
