Bye Bye Oil and Enlarged Pores with GLAMGLOW Supermud!

Hello June!

Hello it's June already! Time passed by so fast and it's already in the middle of the year. In those 4-season countries, it's almost summer time! In Indonesia, it's like, always summer, so no difference (-_-)

My skin is getting better from day to day, thanks to tons of skin care products I've been pouring to my face! (just kidding, for sure)

But, truth to be told, I rarely put the mask on. Well, I'm just, too lazy, sometimes... Hehe. But these days, I've been putting this mud mask onto my face; it's GlamGlow Supermud!

GlamGlow Supermud

I've written the review about Supermud's sister; GlamGlow Youthmud. Now, it's time for Supermud to shine! Unlike Youthmud, this time I receive the full size one, it's 34g.

Packaging

The packaging is just simple, yet elegant. The only difference between Supermud and Youthmud is the color. Youthmud is black, while Supermud is white.

I think the whole packaging and design of GlamGlow products is very consistent with the brand. When I met Glenn and Shannon during their visit in Jakarta, I remember that they want this brand to be unisex, both man and woman can use. Moreover, it has Hollywood-thing on the brand, and they want it to be associated as luxurious brand.

The color play (mostly platinum silver combined with other colors) is very well aligned with their branding.

The packaging is in jar. It's sturdy enough, and it doesn't look cheap. But, I just wish that it comes in more hygienic packaging and even if it's not possible, should it come with spatula inside? :)

And if you buy this in Indonesia, the official distributor for GlamGlow is PT. Kreasi Mutualisme, and it has hologram seal in the product, like shown below.

Then you'll be greeted by this catchy phrase; "HELLO SEXY" (giggles)

Texture

As the name, Supermud is a mud mask. It does look like just any other mud. But let me explain the difference between Supermud and Youthmud.

Unlike Youthmud, which contains tea leaves and more like scrub than mask, this Supermud has more creamy, muddy texture with very fine beads.

I personally favor Supermud's texture than Youthmud, it gave me less hassle.

But, it does have strong scent. I am perfectly okay with the scent, but maybe those with sensitive nose can't stand it. It has, menthol-like scent, I guess it's from Eucalyptus leaf extract, but my skin and nose are okay with it.

Ingredients

As seen on the packaging, the ingredients of Supermud are as follow:

Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sodium Hydroxide, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf, Mandelic Acid, Charcoal CI 77266, Parfum [Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate], Glycolic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Lactic Acid, Pyruvic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Maltodextrin, Iron Oxides CI 77491, Mentha Piperita Oil, Butylene Glycol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Glycerin, Chamoilla Recutita Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract, Hendera Helix Extract, Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

Review

Here is my bare face.

See those red and dark spots? They're mostly acne scars, not active acne. I guess I have to curse my naughty fingers, can't stop to mess with those acne and acne scars (bad, bad)!

And here's me with Supermud!

I applied it only on the affected area, especially T-zone and those with enlarged pores.

I leave it around 10 minutes, until the mud mask dried and my face feels tightened.

And taraaaa!

No kidding, but the before picture was when I woke up. I didn't even care to wash my face, just tried directly put the Supermud.

See, my face is instantly brighter and the pores shrink a bit, just in one application!

I am still continuing to use this Supermud as I believe that this mask works great on me!

Just, FYI, my skin type is combination, with T-zone oily and U-zone (cheek) dry. So, maybe if you have oily or normal-to-oily skin, enlarged pores, acne prone, then this Supermud is just your savior!
